It`s Spring Again

It`s Spring Again

Vom Eise befreit sind Strom und Bäche
Durch des Frühlings holden, belebenden Blick...

(Stream and brooks are freed from ice
By spring`s sweet enlivening glance...)

J.W. von Goethe, Faust 1

Haiku-poets in many countries enjoy springtime, so they do in Germany, in Austria. Like in the old days poets admire blossoms, the brightness of spring days, they have a feeling of joie de vivre. These days we use the internet to share our haiku-poetry, to communicate worldwide.

Dear haiku-friends around the world, you all are invited,

do come in please,
listen to a lark and...

Best wishes,
Angelika Wienert

Geburtstag -
die Ankunft des Fohlens
verschlafen

birthday party
the foal arrives
unseen

blind
barfuß schlurft er durch
Kirschblüten

blind
barefoot he shuffles through
cherry blossoms

(both haiku: Gerd Börner, Berlin)

Märzschnee -
heute schweigt
die Nachtigall

March snow --
the nightingale
keeps silent today

nebeneinander her...
ein Lerchenlied
steigt himmelwärts

walking side by side...
a lark`s song
rises skyward

(both haiku: Ramona Linke, Beesenstedt)

Kirschblüten -
mein Himmel
heute rosarot

cherry blossoms --
my sky
pink today

Hände auf dem Bauch -
über Apfelblüten
der runde Mond

hands on the tummy --
above apple blossoms
the rounded moon

(both haiku: Claudia Melchior, Freiburg)

Märzmorgen -
auf der Kaffeekanne
ein Fleck aus Licht

march morning
on the coffeepot
a speck of light

(Dietmar Tauchner, Austria)
